I feel like Black Friday is getting bigger and better every year – this year the sales were amazing! I used the heavy discounts to snap up some things that have been on my to-buy list for a while (hello new luggage and work shoes!) as well as treat myself to some beautiful pieces from one of my favourite designers, Rebecca Taylor.
J Crew
I also went a *little* nuts at J Crew. I had no intention of shopping the sale until I ventured into a mall yesterday (note to self: NEVER attempt to shop Black Friday in person again! So. many. people.) and J Crew Factory was the only store that didn’t have an epic queue to get in. They had some great things though and although a lot of my sizes were sold out in store, they had plenty of stock online.

I managed to get everything I wanted and I then decided to take a *little* look at the main J Crew website and basically fell in love with everything. J Crew is SO much cheaper in the US and the UK and the 40% off sitewide discount was insane so I absolutely took advantage! Everything I went for is listed above.
Nordstrom
I then picked up another Halogen cashmere sweater in a nice basic black from Nordstrom. I probably have too many of these now but at $55 for 100% cashmere, I couldn’t say no! I also went for an adorable foldaway shopping bag (a practical purchase that I’ve been meaning to buy for ages) that Nordstrom was price matching and some earrings.
LOFT

Lastly, I managed to shop the sale at LOFT in Vegas although am wishing I had waited now because they dropped the prices even further! Below is a snap of me trying on one of their sweaters (as well as a glimpse of the socks I ended up buying haha!). I really loved it and now it’s only $20! Such a great price and perfect for the holiday season. The changing room lighting was terrible but the colour was brighter and much prettier in real life.
I went home with the red one pictured as well as this sweater dress (the model photo doesn’t do it justice – super cute with some OTK boots!); a classic black top and some socks 🙂
I also wanted this highlight this top which looks like an exact dupe for my Chelsea28 cold shoulder top that I have been wearing constantly! My one sold out a long time ago but this looks exactly the same!
Finally, I wanted to say thank you so much for all your lovely feedback regarding my Black Friday posts! I’m so glad you’ve all been enjoying them; it’s been so fun for me to do – and it really does feel like shopping with friends as we all share sale tips!
I’ll be doing a round up of Cyber Monday sales on Monday as well so check back then if you still haven’t had enough sale shopping by then 😉

Love the red flannel and earrings! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
pls do a haul vid/review on the jcrew purchases!
The sweater from Loft is $15 now! At that price, I had to get two even though I had already placed an order 5 minutes prior to seeing your post. Thanks for your recommendations, Amie! Love your blog and channel!
Umm that's amazing! I think I might get another now too! Thanks for the heads up!
