Louis Vuitton Haul &
Pochette Metis Unboxing!

So apparently I can’t be trusted when there is online shopping around (which pretty much means everywhere there is internet access). I’d been eyeing up a few LV items for a while but had so far been resisting. And then, the Pochette Metis came along and kind of starting a chain reaction…

This bag wasn’t really on my radar at all… until it suddenly was and I had to have it. Funny how that happens huh? The Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis is just one of those easy going everyday bags which screams (or rather, whispers) understated luxury. Yes, the LV monogram is in full swing but the print is balanced with the bag’s easy structure and casual look. I think it’s a sign of (my) age that a bag’s practicality means an increasing amount to me and I love the easy, handsfree nature of the pochette metis 🙂

The other items I bought include two SLGs I’ve had my eye on for a while and two bandeaus that I just couldn’t resist… yes, I’ve been more than a little bad! I might do separate reviews on a couple of these but as an overview for now:

Zippy wallet in Empriente in Dahlia

A darling little wallet that is going to be perfect for my smaller bags. I blame the small bag fad but I’ve increasingly found that my insolite wallet is pretty redundant in a good half of my bag collection. I’m not really a fan of using key pouches and the like instead of a wallet so I thought it was high time I bought a smaller version. I’d had my eye on the zippy wallet for a while and whilst I knew I wanted to make this my first empriente piece, I was indecisive about the colour – that is until Dahlia came along. The perfect, rich pink, it’s a stunning shade that I think works all year long.

Large Monogram Agenda 

I love stationery. Like, a lot. I’ve been dithering about this purchase for a long time because really, £450 for any kind of stationery is quite frankly too much. I mentioned this in my ‘What’s in my bag’ video but I’ve been looking to upgrade from my Smythson agenda for a while – whilst adorable, the size just wasn’t for me.

I considered the medium size but I was concerned that I would just be repeating the same mistake – only on a more costly scale! So, I ended up caving and going for the large version. Happy to report that I think I 100% made the right decision and I’ve been gleefully buying all manner of stationery add-ons since. Expect a blog post/ video about these buys soon!

Trunks and Stephen Sprouse Leopard Print Bandeau 

An unnecessary purchase? Probably. But look how cute!! When I first saw the Trunks bandeau in the Birmingham store, I could not stop stroking it. The colour palette is gorgeous – soft pinks and greys – whilst the print is wonderfully whimsical and ladylike. At £94, it wasn’t exactly a bargain but it didn’t break the bank either so in my cart it went!

Last but not least, my beautiful Stephen Sprouse leopard print bandeau. Leopard print and Louis Vuitton go together like scones and clotted cream (and jam!) in my opinion – i.e. a match made in heaven. I love the look of the leopard print against monogram so I’m excited to start experimenting with this beauty.

Phew! That was a quickie run through of everything and needless to say, I think I’m well and truly banned now! I’m heading off on holiday soon so a spending ban until then is absolutely necessary  and *will* be enforced (if I say it emphatically enough, it’ll definitely happen right?).
