I got so many questions about my outfits that I wore in this video that I thought I would round everything up in a blog post! I have talked about pretty much all of these pieces before but I know that’s scattered across various different videos so hopefully this will act as a useful reference point for a lot of my favourite wardrobe pieces at the moment!
Don’t forget you can use the code 10YTAMIE for 10% off any of the accessories from Farfetch (new emails only) 🙂
STYLED WITH THE VALENTINO CLUTCH
Black Dress (c/o – size UK 6) // Lace Bandeau Bra (bought as part of a set) // Louboutin Irizas // Valentino Clutch (smooth version – use code 10YTAMIE for 10% off)
This was my birthday dinner outfit and I loved it so much! The dress is so pretty IRL – it has the loveliest swish and is just so fun to wear! It is VERY low cut though. I experimented with just using body tape but felt I’d be too self-conscious at dinner so teamed it with a lace bandeau (as well as some body tape for good measure haha). We went to the Ivy for dinner and I had two different people compliment me on it – definitely the sign of a good dress!
Black Tank Top (size xs) // Straight Leg Jeans // Jimmy Choo Bing Heels (use code 10YTAMIE for 10% off) // Valentino Clutch (smooth version)
I got so many questions about these jeans! Let me tell you – I must have tried on over 20 pairs of straight cut jeans before settling on these! I often feel like straight cut jeans are easier to wear if you don’t have hips. I’m definitely a bit more bottom-heavy so it was so challenging to find a pair that I actually felt like were flattering rather than just adding bulk. I love these though – the perfect length and so easy to wear.
All of the reviews said to size way down – but I went with my regular size of 27 (I will typically take a size 27 in denim with little to no stretch and a size 26 in stretchy denim). If you don’t have particularly wide hips, then I would say you should probably size down though 🙂
STYLED WITH THE BOTTEGA VENETA MINI JODIE
Camel Cashmere Sweater (size xs) // Black Bias Cut Skirt (sold out, similar here) // Gianvito Rossi Pumps (use code 10YTAMIE for 10% off) // Bottega Mini Jodie
This outfit got me so excited for autumn! I love a good bias cut skirt and camel tones are always a favourite with me. The different tones aren’t exactly the same but I still think they work and it avoids the whole look being too matchy-matchy.
My new Gianvito Rossi pumps are just the best things – they go with everything! Definitely a good reminder to myself that good, classic wardrobe basics are always worth investing in. I’m also so happy that I finally have some go-tos for my Bottega Mini Jodie – it’s definitely more of an unusual style for me so I’m so excited to start using it more!
White Blazer (size 00) // Black Shorts (size 2), also available here // White Cami (size xs) // Louboutin Irizas // Bottega Mini Jodie
This outfit (or variations of it) has been such a favourite for me this summer. I typically wear a lot of dresses and skirts in warmer weather but I love tailoring, no matter what the temperature and this outfit is so easy to wear whilst still being warm-weather appropriate. I’ve spoken about both the shorts and the blazer a few times before. The shorts are these more expensive ones from Vince but my more budget-friendly ones from ASOS are still in stock and are very similar in look.
The blazer is one of my go-tos and a piece I now own in three colours! Definitely more pricey but so worth it IMO. Stock is very hit and miss in the white but it does come in and out of stock at various retailers. You can also find it here and here.
White Blazer (size 00) // White Cami // Faux Leather Leggings (size small) // Louboutin Irizas // Bottega Mini Jodie
Repeating the cami and the white blazer again, just transitioning the look to autumn/winter with a pair of faux leather leggings. The leggings are still going strong after (I think!) 3 years – such a great buy and so unbelievably comfy! For those of you shopping from the UK, they’re also available here.
STYLED WITH THE MULBERRY MINI ALEXA
Midi Dress (size 0) // Gianvito Rossi Heels // Mulberry Mini Alexa (use code 10YTAMIE for 10% off)
Next up is my new Zimmermann dress! I’m more than a little obsessed with this – definitely a pricey one but so lovely with the colours and detail. Teamed (yet again!) with my new pumps and trusty mini Alexa.
A note on the Mulberry Mini Alexa (and all luxury items for that matter!) if you’re shopping at Farfetch. Because Farfetch delivers from boutiques all around the world, you’ll need to check the pricing and the location of where the item is shipping from in order to get the best deal, especially if you’re buying from the UK/ Europe (where luxury goods tend to be cheaper!). I.e. it won’t always make sense to buy from a boutique outside of Europe for a luxury item that was manufactured within Europe because you can sometimes pay an inflated price because of double taxes.
This isn’t always the case but if you spot a price for an item on Farfetch that is higher than normal retail in the UK (for example), that’s why! It isn’t as common because I do find that most of the boutiques listed on Farfetch are based in Europe but if you come across a higher than expected price, that will usually be the reason why 🙂 Fortunately, the price you see is the price you pay (so no extra charges at checkout or upon delivery) so it makes it a lot easier to sort through.
Polka Dot Dress (size small) // Louboutin Irizas // Mulberry Mini Alexa
This is the other new dress I recently got – I pretty much never get tired of polka dots and I just love this style. So classic and easy to wear and just one of those pieces you’ll be able to wear for years. Sizes are low in stock pretty much everywhere but you can also find this dress here and here.
White Blazer (c/o – size UK 6/ US 2)) // Navy Shorts (size UK 6 / US 2) // White Cami // White Sandals // Mulberry Mini Alexa
This is a spin on the earlier shorts and blazer combo I showed earlier. The blazer is a little more structured so works well with the slightly more tailored shorts. I teamed the outfit with some flat sandals this time and my Mini Alexa as a crossbody but it would work equally well with heels and a clutch for dinner IMO.
Camel Coat (old, new season version here) // Faux Leather Leggings (US) // Leggings (UK link) // Black Sweater (size xs) // White Sneakers // Mulberry Mini Alexa
This is definitely a more winter appropriate look but even though it’s only August, I swear I can feel the weather turning here already! I feel like I’m going to be in coats before I know it haha. This is an outfit repeat from last year – just my trusty Spanx leggings, a tailored coat and sneakers for comfort.
STYLED WITH THE SAINT LAURENT BOUCLE LOULOU
Black Top (sold out, similar here) // Skinny Jeans (size 26) // Gianvito Rossi Heels // Saint Laurent Boucle Loulou (use code 10YTAMIE for 10% off)
Finally, my Saint Laurent Boucle Loulou! I wanted to try styling this with a lighter look as well as more winter friendly looks. I suspected that it would be easier to style with coats and sweaters because of the fabric but I was actually pleasantly surprised with how well it seemed to work with lighter layers too. Here I just have it on with my current favourite skinny jeans and a simple black tank. My one is several years old from Warehouse however this one has a similar drape.
Camel Cropped Coat (sold out) // Black Sweater // Faux Leather Leggings (size small) // Leggings (UK link) // Gianvito Rossi Heels (use code 10YTAMIE for 10% off) // Saint Laurent Boucle Loulou
And for my last outfit, I went for a layered, autumnal look with the same faux leather leggings I’ve worn throughout, a layered black sweater and a cropped camel coat from S Max Mara that is sadly sold out now (bought a couple of years ago!). I loved how the Saint Laurent Boucle Loulou looked with this and it’s gotten me incredibly excited for upcoming autumn outfits haha!
Phew! That was a lot of outfits haha. As you can see, I did snap pics of most of the outfits I featured in the video but if there was a specific outfit or piece that I missed out, let me know! 🙂
