I feel like Christmas was only yesterday so I cannot believe it’s nearly Valentines Day!
Dan and I don’t really go mad for Valentines Day but while we don’t go out on the day itself (does anyone else find Valentine’s Day restaurant ‘special menus’ so much worse than the normal offerings?!), we always make sure to go out and celebrate during that week. The longer we’re together, the more we seem to like to stay at home so we definitely still try and make the effort to celebrate special occasions 🙂 And of course, there is nothing more fun than Valentine’s outfit planning!

I stumbled across this dress when randomly browsing (read: procrastinating) and absolutely fell in love. I just love how simple it is on the front but with the unexpected bow at the back! And of course it’s in blush pink haha 🙂 I managed to last a whole four days before caving in and ordering it – it’s currently winging its way to me and I cannot wait to receive it!
When it comes to a statement dress, I usually try to keep the accessories simple and I instantly thought pearls would be the perfect complement. I’m planning on teaming it with my Sophia Webster pearl clutch (finally back in stock!) and a simple pair of pearl studs.
Are you planning on celebrating Valentine’s Day? After years of not really liking it, I find myself getting more excited about it each year! 🙂
Love the outfit. The dress is very pretty. We usually don’t go out either, but this year, we are going to take the whole family out instead. Your right, as the years go by, we usually stay at home on Valentine’s day the longer time goes on, so you guys are not the only ones. Hope you have a good Valentines day!❤
Aw I love this idea of making it a family thing! I want to host a big Valentine’s party one year! 🙂
I love how you paired the pearls with pink. Looks elegant and classy. My husband and I use to go out for Valentine’s day, but now we just cook a nice meal together at home. The special menus at restaurants for Valentine’s day can be such a rip off. Once we were charged twice what it would normally cost to go to the restaurant on a regular night.
Oh I know! We always avoid going out on Valentine’s Day now – I hate special menus haha!
I love bow details, that dress is perfect! Dinner and drinks is what we do every year. Valentines day is the perfect opportunity to get dressed up and try a new spot.
Absolutely! I’m in the most boring clothes most of the time so I take any chance I can to get dressed up now haha 🙂
That handbag is speaking out to me!

Hi Amie,
I was wondering if you could recommend a handbair repair service? My Gucci soho disco bag is in need of some attention quick! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
I absolutely love the color coordination. The dress is so beautiful!
